Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce that Allie Pickerill of the Firm’s Birmingham accounting office has been recognized as a NextGenBHM: Workforce & Education award winner by the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ).

The NextGenBHM: Workforce & Education award recognizes those 30 years old or younger who are shaping the talent pool. Even though the dynamics of talent retention and recruitment in the region has changed, the workforce has been a large focus, and leaders throughout the Birmingham area have emphasized educating future business leaders.

Allie Pickerill is a Project Coordinator within Warren Averett’s Workforce Development Group. She joined Warren Averett in 2017 and was promoted to her current role in 2019. Allie has more than five years of experience in business administration and project management.

As part of the Workforce Development team, Allie has helped clients across industries address systemic workforce issues and navigate changing dynamics to ensure they meet organizational goals. Her main responsibilities include planning, coordinating, monitoring and documenting workforce development projects for both private and public sector clients.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as a rising leader in this field,” said Pickerill. “Being involved in the creation of the Workforce Development Group at our Firm has been an incredible experience. I’m excited to continue helping our clients meet their workforce needs and ensuring people in our community find rewarding careers that allow them to prosper.”
