April Harry Recognized as a Top C-Suite Leader by the Birmingham Business Journal

, the firm’s Chief Operations Officer, was recently recognized as a top leader through the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2023 C-Suite Awards.
The C-Suite Awards recognize excellence among chief-level leaders in metro Birmingham. These leaders are playing pivotal roles in guiding companies through challenges created by the pandemic, the Great Resignation and economic changes. Honorees were chosen based on their contributions to their company, the company’s track record of performance, the leader’s role in their industry, community impact and more.
Winners of the award were honored at an event on June 15, 2023, at the Harbert Center, where attendees networked, heard from a panel of Birmingham area executives and watched an awards program.

When asked about why the C-suite is so important to an organization, Harry said, “The C-suite’s importance lies in our responsibility to ensure that the organization’s strategic plans, financial operations and overall direction align with the company’s purpose and mission. For us at Warren Averett, that means making sure that the priorities we profess (equipping our A+ talent to provide A+ service to our A+ clients) are what’s actually being executed, measured and improved upon constantly.”
Harry joined Warren Averett’s Birmingham accounting and advisory firm in 2007 after she had gained several years of finance and accounting experience in a variety of industries. In her roles, Harry is involved in the strategic growth of the firm through mergers and acquisitions, and she oversees the financial, operational and legal areas of the firm.
