Charles Emert Appointed to Forsyth County Chamber’s Board of Directors

, of the firm’s Atlanta accounting and advisory office, has been selected to join the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors.
Forsyth County is located just northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.
The Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce’s purpose is to increase prosperity and to promote and better the local community. The Chamber also advocates for issues of interest and speaks with businesses and engages business leaders to ensure the community’s long-term economic health. It has been an active part of the Forsyth County community for several decades.
For 2023, the Forsyth County Chamber’s mission is to ensure the county thrives through intentional initiatives that drive economic development, visitor investments and workforce development.
The Board of Directors provides leadership and oversight to the Chamber. This will be Charles Emert’s first year on the Board, where he will help with the implementation and strengthening of its 2023 initiatives.
“It is an honor to serve on the Forsyth County Chamber’s Board of Directors,” said Emert. “Living in Forsyth County has made this community and its residents very near and dear to my heart. My work with the Chamber will help me make an impact in the local community and improve the lives of its residents, so I look forward to contributing my knowledge and time.”
Charles Emert joined Warren Averett in 2021. He is a Senior Manager in the firm’s Tax Division and has more than eight years of public accounting experience. Emert is primarily responsible for consultation and compliance on federal and state tax matters for closely held and private equity-owned businesses, succession planning and incentives for various tax credits. He also has experience in serving businesses operating in the construction, real estate, healthcare and transportation industries.
Emert resides in Cumming, Georgia, with his wife and son.
