Warren Averett’s Paul Perry Selected for the ASCPA Board Of Directors And The AICPA IMTA Executive Committee

Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors is proud to announce the selection of Paul Perry, FHFMA, CDPSE, CISM, CITP, CPA, to serve on the Alabama Society of CPAs (ASCPA) Board of Directors and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Information Management and Technology Assurance Executive Committee.

Perry joined the Firm in 2004 and is a Member and the practice leader of the Security, Risk and Controls Group and the leader of the Firm’s Data Analysis Group. He is also a published author, columnist, podcast host and regular speaker on topics such as cybersecurity, data analysis, internal controls and information technology.

The Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) is the statewide, professional membership organization representing over 6,000 Alabama CPAs in public practice, industry, government and education. Volunteers from 11 chapters across the state and various committees develop programs and address issues to help all members be successful professionals. The ASCPA is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by a full-time staff. The AICPA Information Management and Technology Assurance (IMTA) Division serves members of the IMTA Section, CPAs who hold the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential, other AICPA members, and others who provide risk, fraud, internal control, audit and/or information management services within their firms or for their employers.

“I feel honored to be joining both the ASCPA Board of Directors and the AICPA IMTA Executive Committee,” says Perry. “Both organizations play key roles within the CPA community, which in turn brings additional value to our clients, and I am looking forward to serving both.”
