The Culture Building Basics Symposium consisted of four sessions that provided guidelines on how to develop the solid skills and supervisory “how-to’s” people need to influence, lead and work well with others. Warren Averett’s Pensacola office was presenting sponsor of the event, and several Pensacola team members were able to attend. The symposium took place on July 21 and covered how leaders prioritizing an organization’s internal culture can help the employees and the business to thrive.

Cyndi Warren, Pensacola Managing Member, kicked off the sessions and thanked SCI for their entrepreneurship and guidance for business leaders in the Pensacola community: “When we saw the list of symposium topics this year, ‘Culture-Building Basics’ stood out immediately. Culture is embedded in everything we do here at the Firm, both internally and for our clients, and we knew Scott would be the perfect fit to share, with the Gulf Coast community, his knowledge of how we build culture at Warren Averett.”

Bradbary’s session, Developing a Culture of Champions: the Alpha Principle, discussed how teams will only operate at maximum effectiveness if they have a champion leading the way. Identifying and developing leaders who know what projects to prioritize and how to identify the right champion can be a challenge. Through using the Alpha Principle, business leaders can identify projects and initiatives that need leaders and enlist the leadership of a champion to see these goals through to completion.

“I really enjoyed participating in the symposium this year,” said Bradbary. “I’ve spent years in this industry and it’s always rewarding to coach leaders towards success that they might not have thought was attainable before.”

As the Chief Talent Officer for the Firm, Bradbary is well-equipped and uniquely positioned to advocate for organizational culture and talent.
