Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors is pleased to announce that Ryan Grauel, CPA, and Brett Walton, CPA, have been recognized as NextGen BHM: Accounting award winners by the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ).
The NextGen BHM: Accounting award recognizes up-and-coming accountants who are ages 35 and under. These are accountants who are already making their mark on Birmingham’s accounting scene. The awards honor individuals for their contributions to their firms, the industry and the Birmingham community.
“Ryan is a consistently high performer who is well liked by clients and staff. We are fortunate to have him,” said Joe Anderson, a Member in the Firm’s Audit Division. “Brett is a smart, high energy guy with a very positive attitude. He is very professional in his client responsibilities. Both he and Ryan are great choices for this award.”
Ryan Grauel is an Audit Manager within the Firm’s Audit Division. Grauel joined Warren Averett in 2012 and has extensive experience in serving clients across multiple industries, including nonprofits and manufacturing. Grauel is also a member of the Firm’s Audit Best Practice Leadership Group, which involves ensuring the Firm’s Audit Practice is continuously improving. He is also involved in recruiting at the University of Alabama. Grauel resides in Birmingham with his wife and his three sons.
Brett Walton is a Senior Associate within the Firm’s Audit Division. Walton joined Warren Averett in 2017 and has experience serving clients in multiple industries, including financial services and healthcare. His daily tasks include assisting clients in the preparation of financial statements and maintaining quality relationships and contact with clients. In addition to his work at the Firm, Walton assists with college recruiting for Auburn University and the University of Alabama. Walton is also a member of the Alabama Society of CPAs Young CPA Cabinet.
