Warren Averett Grows Transaction Advisory Practice with Two New Hires

Warren Averett, LLC is pleased to welcome Rick Raleigh and Chloe Barger to the Firm. Raleigh joins the team as a Manager for the Firm’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice, and Barger joins as an Associate in the same division.

“We are excited to have Rick and Chloe on our team,” says Hanny Akl, leader of the Firm’s Transaction Advisory Service Practice. “Each of them brings a special set of skills that most certainly will enhance the value we offer to our clients. Given the uptick in M&A activity these last few weeks, we are happy to have such strong team members to increase our capacity and efficiency.”

Raleigh is primarily responsible for financial diligence for M&A. He has seven years of public accounting experience and has spent the last four on the West Coast focusing on transaction advisory services. He has extensive experience with buy-side and sell-side due. Raleigh specializes in the industrial consumer products, technology and manufacturing and distribution industries.

Raleigh joins Warren Averett from Grant Thornton where he provided audit and transaction advisory services. Prior to Grant Thornton, he worked for RSM, a global accounting firm. He earned his Master of Accounting from Florida State University.

Raleigh and his wife are happy to be back in Florida after four years on the West Coast. Prior to returning to the South, he spent three months working as a children’s ski instructor in South Lake Tahoe fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Barger earned her master’s degree in accounting from Auburn University. She formerly interned at Warren Averett in the Audit department before working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business. Barger grew up in Latin America and moved 23 times before her 23rd birthday due to her father’s job.

Warren Averett’s Transaction Advisory Team assists private equity groups, investment bankers, family offices and business owners in navigating the complexities of transactions. In the past two years, the team has worked on transactions valued at over $1 billion and saved clients an average of 15% from the original purchase price to the final purchase prices.
