Shalimar joined Warren Averett in 2015 and is a Principal in the firm’s Tax Division. She has over 26 years of public accounting experience with an additional two years in private industry. Shalimar has experience performing tax, accounting and audit services. She has worked with privately held and publicly listed companies, operating across various industries, including government contracting, manufacturing, real estate, security services, nonprofit and venture capital. Shalimar’s tax experience includes federal and multi-state income tax compliance, sales, payroll, fiduciary, charitable, gift tax and estate, as well as foreign reporting compliance, ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109 & FIN 48), financial projections and research. Her career is complemented by experience in performing audits, write-ups, and compiling and reviewing financial statements. Shalimar previously worked for a Big Four accounting firm.
