Angela Akerman, CISA, CIA, CDPSE

Angela Akerman joined Warren Averett in 2013 and is a Principal in the firm’s Risk Advisory & Assurance Services Group. Prior to joining the firm, Angela had four years of public accounting experience and over 20 years of experience in administrative and accounting roles in small businesses and universities. She has extensive consulting experience in internal controls and information technology-related projects serving clients in numerous industries. Angela is a subject matter expert in System and Organization Controls (SOC) examinations and ESG/sustainability. She is a published author and speaker on SOCs and vendor management.
