Birmingham Team Members Attend the ASCPA Balance Sheet Bash
Last week, Birmingham Members Paul Perry, FHFMA, CISM, CITP, CPA, CDPSE, and James Cason, CPA, pictured with AICPA’s current chair, Okorie Ramsey, attended the Alabama Society of CPAs’ (ASCPA) Balance Sheet Bash. The event, held for Alabama’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) accounting and business majors, offered informative sessions from speakers, leadership training, networking and on-site interviews with sponsors.
Montgomery Young Professionals Volunteer with Heart of Alabama Food Bank
Warren Averett’s Montgomery team members recently volunteered and assembled 374 boxes for the Heart of Alabama Food Bank’s Senior Supplement Program, which provides supplemental nutritious food to senior citizens. Learn more about their volunteer activity with Heart of Alabama Food Bank.
Atlanta’s Cindy Ethridge Celebrates Retirement
This month, our Atlanta office celebrated the retirement of Cindy Ethridge, an influential Member of the firm and specialist in serving organizations in the nonprofit industry. Cindy was joined by her friends, family and colleagues to commemorate her 40 years of service. A big thanks to Cindy for her years of commitment to the firm and our clients.
Stephen Perkins Appointed as Board Chair for the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce
Fort Walton Beach’s Stephen Perkins, CPA, has been appointed to serve as the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Board Chair. Perkins has been involved with the Chamber for several years and previously served as Treasurer. He is a strong advocate for the Fort Walton Beach community. Branden Crosby Serves on Destin Chamber’s Executive Committee
Destin’s Branden Crosby, CPA, CGMA, has been appointed to serve as the Destin Chamber’s Vice Chairman of Membership. Previously, Crosby served on the Executive Committee as the Vice Chairman of Community and Tourism Development. In his new role, he has shifted his responsibilities to creating and implementing a membership plan and promoting Chamber membership throughout the year.
